A Worthy Move

Dikeman’s new digs

El Dorado County is a beautiful place: Golden aspens, granite flats, and land-locked salmon that live in the world’s largest alpine lake.

There are more hiking trails than you can shake a crooked finger at, and ski resorts beckon from every direction.

Best of all, when traveling there via highway 50, you pass through Folsom, home of the infamous prison. It’s guaranteed to put some Johnny Cash in your noggin.

Is that the Johnny Cash who in the 1970′s routinely performed with the likes of the Captain & Tenille, The Muppets, Donnie & Marie, Sonny & Cher and Tony Orlando & Dawn

    or

the mythic, righteous, embraced-by-the-left crusader of the past 10 years?

What do you have against the Muppets?

    Tony Orlando
The old oak tree has fallen
    Can you say Branson

My issues with The Muppets are:

1 they are mouthpieces for the man
2 they introduced fisting to the mainstream
    3 they are all white

But then, it ain’t easy being green.

:) Hiking ‘trials,’ heraldo? As opposed to murder trails?

    Heh, thanks. I’ll fix it.

Jesus you are lame heraldo! You took the bait and had to mention the news article but don’t have the balls to take a stand one way or the other.

    Coward. Hypocrite.

The Muppets are all white? That’s news to me. Thanks for the heads up.

Wasn’t Ms. Piggy a Muppet? She was green.

Touchy, touchy, 1:38. El Dorado is a beautiful place, just like it says in the post.

Yes El Dorado is a beautiful place. And you are lame, cowardly, and a hypocrite just like it says …..

Oh well, it’s a good day.

heraldo is sweet on Ms. Piggy, she’s a puppet just like his buddy Paul.

But Heraldo’s still waiting to have his way with Ms. Piggy.

What else is there it have an opinion about, 1:55? Dikeman got canned more than two months ago. Whether he goes to El Dorado or Santa Barbara makes no difference to the Humboldt County DA’s office, where he no longer works.

Kermit The Frog was green. Cookie Monster was blue(?). Big Bird was yellow. In fact, I can’t recall any of the muppets being white.

Well Heraldo you are right in that Dikeman was fired by Gallegos over two months ago. But you are very wrong in stating, or thinking, that it makes no difference to the Humboldt County DA’s Office. The DA’s office is more than just Gallegos and his supporters. Dikeman was liked, admired, and held in high regard by many (MOST) of the staff and all local law enforcement. It makes a difference to them, the people that make the office work. It makes a difference to the relationship with law enforcement and the DA’s office.

I’m glad Dikeman got a new job, a better job. I hope that three or four others do the same, and soon. Then Gallegos’ office will operate with the likes of Jeff Swartz, Arney Klien, Alan Dollison, and King Paul. Implode will be a good description of what is to come. With the reputation Gallegos has made for himself and his office he cannot attract quality Deputy DA’s, and that is an obvious fact. And I must say I will enjoy Gallegos being exposed for what he has done. I will enjoy reading about all the people that are angry and outraged. What goes around often times comes around. Karma.

I’m glad Dikeman got a new job, too, and in such a beautiful place. I hope it feels like a fresh start.

I doubt his friends in Humboldt wanted him to sit around jobless. It would be a waste of talent for Worth to be sitting on his couch pounding the clicker all day.

Ok people, get your facts straight.
Cookie Monster and Big Bird were not Muppets. They were Sesame Street Characters. Kermit The Frog came and went between the two shows but, The Muppets were an entirely different regime.

    Wikipedia says:
Though the term is often used erroneously to refer to any puppet that resembles the distinctive style of The Muppet Show and Sesame Street characters, the term is both an informal name and legal trademark linked to the characters created by The Jim Henson Company. After frequently changing hands since the death of creator Jim Henson in 1990, The Muppets have been owned by The Walt Disney Company, through the Muppets Holding Company, since early 2004.

Just for a matter of discussion….have you seen the man behind the voice of Elmo? He ain’t white.

What does this have to do with Worth Dikeman? Well, I believe the characters of the Theatre Critics on The Muppet Show (the two cynical old men in the balcony) were modeled after Worth Dikeman No, seriously, that’s the God’s honest truth. You can look it up if you don’t believe me.

What is up with this ???? Heraldo saying nice things about Worth Dikeman? Acknowledging he is talented? Wishing him well?

Heraldo you truly are a lowlife hypocrite. A first class piece of shite!

Oh heraldo, my days are filled with peace and enlightenment. I do spend some time doing my community service; keeping you, Eric, and Nick in line as best I can.

Life is good. But it can always get better!

All the good ADA’s that Gags has run off seem to land in better places than Humboldt. Rob Wade works for Napa DA’s office and now Worth is moving to Lake Tahoe. Most people in Humboldt would love to live in either place.

Awwww…Fred watches sesame street. That’s so adorable. Don’t worry Fred, whilst in the “later years” its perfectly appropriate to seek out the joys of childhood.

Heraldo the chicken shit, hypocrite cop hater. Wow!

Sure hope no one in your family gets raped, robbed or murdered Mr. H cause you sure won’t see any results from the retard on the fourth floor of the courthouse.

BTW – word has it that the support staff asked for grief counselors after they found out Dikeman had been fired. Frankly, El Dorado county is looking really good right now compared to this den of crime called Humboldt.

Yes 8:30:29, you nailed it. Gallegos is such a fine man, a great lawyer, and a true leader. Did I fail to mention that he cares for all his employees, stray cats, and the lobsters at the Coop?

The funny thing about all the
DA’s leaving is that for years the supes, via hatchetman Rick Hoeg, have told the dda’s in contract talks– if you don’t like it, leave, you’re getting squat from us.

So, no job protection, no competitive salaries, no dda’s.
Nice work, Humboldt. Be careful what you wish for.

Bingo 10:37 – you nailed it. What did Haeg say…if you don’t like it vote with your feet…and they did. God help us!

That’s OK. There are still plenty of outstanding prosecutors with the Humboldt county DA’s office that have lots of experience! You have Jeffrey Swartz; he’s had one jury trial since he’s been here (he lost it). Swartz is kind of like his boss Paul, his idea of crime prevention is just to dismiss the cases that way they don’t interfere with vacations, drinking your lunch, and politicing for Larry Glass and Dave Merserve. Then you have Dollison, he’s an expert on forgery and fraud. And then you have one who is an expert on hostile work environment. What a great group of DA’s seeking “equal justice under the law” for all of us!

I have an idea !!!!!!! Instead of a police review committee lets have a DA review committee! To include random alcohol and drug screening ! Wouldn’t that make 3 or 4 of them just crap their pants?

God that is funny 1:15 – Schwartz would crap his pants if they made him blow into a breathalizer after lunch!

And drug screening too…..hell the DA would surely also crap his pants with a drug screening….

gawds can we get that screening for Fortuna City Council? We’d dump 4 of them at least ASAP!

How about also thier kids? Hay if someone can’t raise a decent kid, how come we elect them to public office, that goes for police too.

I mean if your can’t keep your own kids off dope (Forutna PD, Mayor et al) how the heck can you hope to do anything for the people?

I guess 12:31:02 AM ought to give lessons or provide the answers. Since I don’t have kids I can’t say …..
