You’ve heard of the man behind the curtain. Now try the big box behind the voting box.
An investigation into address listings for Dieblod — the brand synonymous with untrustworthy voting software — found a series of Wal-Marts rather than corporate offices.
[W]hen the addresses of offices listed under Diebold in the White Pages were visited, the addresses turned out to belong to either a Wal-Mart, a Sam’s Club, or no building at all. In the end, 16 of the 18 Diebold offices in Utah listed in the White Pages were false listings…
Utah got suckered by Premier Election Solutions — the same Diebold subsidiary that fouls Humboldt County elections.
California Secretary of State Debra Bowen will present findings and hear from the public at a March 17 meeting focused on whether to boot the flawed software from the Golden State.

Utah? Suckered?
Why would Diebold need even a single office in any state using its software? All you need is a phone line. If there’s a serious problem, a company rep should fly out or set up a temporary office where there is an ongoing issue.
Don’t get me wrong. Diebold is pure, unadulterated evil. It just seems like a silly question to lie about or even be asking.
Suckered!
Google “diebold” “walmart”:
it’s not just Utah: Diebold have “office” locations in many states.
It’s likely, Diebold are listing the addresses of ATM machines they control in Walmarts as their own “office” addresses.
“A quick investigation by Bob Fertik on Democrats.com revealed that a similar scam existed in New York, with another Diebold listing in Buffalo turning out to be a Wal-Mart. Out of 13 listings in Florida, 5 turned out to be Wal-Marts. Similar office listings have been uncovered in Alabama, Mississippi, and New Hampshire. Since the office listings exist in each state and not just in Utah, it is probably unlikely that the corporate branch in every state is acting independently of each other.”
“North Canton, Ohio-based Diebold Inc. is poised to gain Wal-Mart ATM space left vacant by banks. The ATM maker already has replaced Indianapolis-based Union Federal Savings Bank at nearly 60 Wal-Marts in Indiana, says Stephen Pidgeon, manager of Union Federal’s ATM fleet. ”
WTF, eh?!
