A fundraising rummage sale to support the purchase and repairs of Jefferson School starts at 9am Saturday at the school. Volunteers report a “huge” turn-out of donations after the Westside Community Improvement Association put out the call. Sale items include a new rug from the Himalayan Rug Traders, lots of furniture, a parrot cage, craft items, cook ware, glass ware, books, holiday decorations, sporting goods and more.

This is a fabulous community building event. The people have turned out in droves to support the project by donating merchandise; and the volunteers have priced things to go. A volunteer walked up to me with a bag of rocks and said Heidi what is this, I said “that would be Mexican Blue Opal…about a pound of it”. Lots of this kind of stuff, clearly items people have held onto and decided to donate to this cause, also gift certificates, for building supplies, plumbing, energy efficiency services and more. Thanks Heraldo for posting this and hope to see y’all Saturday. :) Heidi
What a good opportunity for doing our early spring cleaning and donating the extra items for this occaision.
Wow! I am so sorry that I missed this. I love rummage sales. Are there scheduled dates for future fundraising events?
It was a great turnout of shoppers and bargains were everywhere. Thanks to all that participated, donors and shoppers alike.
