They openly admit that they owe the taxes, and so what if it’s not his personal taxes….he can authorize the payment.

Wrong again JW. They admit they are still trying to figure out how much is owed. Buffet has a legal obligation to protect his shareholders’ assets and not pay a dime more of their money in taxes than is legally due. Again, these aren’t Buffet’s personal taxes but GH corporate taxes.
But BJ……..you said that they didn’t know “whether or not they are owed” All I said was that they did know they owed.
Do you pay a bill before you have a correct balance due, JW? Don’t lie!
Being self employed, don’t you pay quarterly estimated taxes, without knowing the exact final amount?? Don’t lie!
Keep in mind, every dime that is determined to be owed will be paid. He’s not asking for a permanent tax cut, just making sure they pay what they owe and no more. It’s part of his job. This is another instance of false equivalency, i.e. the rich trying to get greater, permanent tax cut at times such as these (massive deficits, high unemployment, declining wages, shrinking middle class, increasing poverty, when they have seen greater concentration of wealth and own a greater share of total wealth while the lower 97% have lost) somehow equals a CEO challenging his corp. tax bill in court. That they want to pay for these tax cuts by shredding the safety net of the people whose survival depends on it while promising JOBS! but only part-time and minimum wage. I suppose if things got bad enough people would demand minimum wage be revoked and work for a bowl of soup for a family of 4 to starve to death slowly like they did in the Great Depression and do in the places our corporate masters prefer to do business.
I always underpay and owe more, JW. No lie!

You don’t think the article says BH hasn’t paid ANY taxes for those years, do you JW? This is about figuring out the correct amount that they still owe, not their entire tax bills, silly goober.
I don’t have complex tax issues like hedge funds do and I don’t play rule stretching games to make a few billion more for my shareholders which occasionally result in protracted battles to determine their legality. Again, BH has paid their undisputed taxes owed. These are taxes on which the balance due has yet to be determined.
You are assuming she makes enough to even owe taxes and that is a big assumption.
