Actually, the person impersonating JW is the very first person who I consistently relegate to the spam folder when I see any of their posts. Although I don’t much care about what people have to say, when it’s obvious that someone has created multiple identities and is pretending to be a crowd, that’s passed my line.
For anyone concerned about being impersonated by this person, if you make up an email address the avatar system will tie an image to your email. It doesn’t have to be a real email address, but it gives people a way to detect impostors if they care.
Congratulations to KM. Yes, you can spam threads Eric has put up.
“Get over myself”?
How is it that a post on Heraldo’s headline below (“Humboldt Ranked 48 out of 56…”) can disappear long after it’s posted? Other posters commented on it (#7 and #8) but the post they are commenting on is disappeared?
Has this blogsite been hacked, or is this this standard procedure?
I would have posted this on that string…but it keeps disappearing!
So, does anyone know why the gag=man canned Dollison?
KM, Steve, and others who see a conspiracy of censorship, chill out. The wordpress blog system works in mysterious ways. Mitch is putting a lot of effort into working out the kinks and to rectify the real or perceived censorious injustices that result. Cut him some slack, and recognize he’s really not trying to censor anybody but just trying to keep up with his wordpress-adjudicated spam load.

I was wondering about that myself. I don’t know that there is any hostility between Dollison and Gags. I checked Dollison’s Facebook page after I read he’d been canned from the D.A.’s office and the only related item on his page was that he’d just “Liked” Gags’ FB election page from last time around.
Seemed almost like some subtle message. As if he was trying to show there were no hard feelings. Thing is, I would have expected him to make a post about the situation if it was simply a cordial parting of the ways.

I don’t really understand the gist of his column in today’s Times- Standard. I’ll I can make of it is him saying he did a great job. Seems kind of tacky as otherwise I didn’t see anything explaining his abrupt departure:

The news article makes it clear that Dollison failed to provide important information to the defense attorney as required by law and that there was a problem with a police interview resulting in a mistrial and pending dismissal of charges. Mr. Dollison’s editorial is about what he did right without mentioning the mistrial.
Yes, he seems to have made a mistake in violating Discovery and everybody makes mistakes.
I wouldn’t have expected him to go into much length about that. It doesn’t read well to me writing a long piece about what a great guy he thinks he is. It would have been better to not write anything rather than what he did, imo. Cut your losses and move on, if you will.
I might add I thought it was tacky on the Times- Standard’s part to bring up some problems had when he first started in private practice. It was pretty much irrelevant to the current issue and implied he might have a long history of malpractice when there’s no evidence that’s the case.
Put in an e-mail address even if it a phoney. Then an Avatar will be assigned to you and PJ can’t pretend she is you.

Not so mysterious “SS”….it is Mitch himself who decides when to enforce Heraldo’s new “one moniker per person” rule that is not officially posted under the “comment” tab (above) which makes enforcement even more fun for an enforcer…the kind of fun that more sinister identity enforcers had at the “SS” in the 1930′s…
There were not that many posts here to begin with!
