McCain supporter stands alone in Eureka

Sometimes the power of one feels sad and lonely.

Notice the Palin picture in the background at the beginning of the video — right above the piggy bank.

Cha-ching!

This production brought to you by Old Glory Radio, which tags itself as “conservative programming.”  It’s so good we’re only half sure it’s satire.

Don’t miss the Hippie Report featuring a colorful explanation of Humboldt County’s Code Enforcement issues.

It’s satire. The flag attached to the sign is the giveaway.

Oh, but the highly offensive T-shirt was a nice touch. Anyone who would have attended that ‘rally’ would have seen the shirt half a block away and turned right back around. It’s no help to associate your candidate with that stuff.

I appreciate this timely report. His one-man rally just happened yesterday.

    FINALLY, Heraldo follows Eric’s lead.

There were no chants or speeches and no evidence the rally lasted more than a minute or two.

That was fun to watch. And heck, about as many people showed up to David Cobb’s abuse and misuse of “Constitution Day” last week, so I figure this Tom Frederickson deserves his pic in the Reporter too.

most of mcCane’s supporters in the county are busy trimming bud and avoiding paying taxes.

the rest of em are out having gay sex or deer hunting. some are even having gay sex WHILE on the hunting trips.

    FINALLY, Heraldo follows Eric’s lead.

No way, buddy. This story is local.

Good for him. Freedom of Speech applies to Nazi hate mongers too.

Before the taxpayers bail out the capitalists with public money we should insist that the CEOs pay back all the money that they stole.

Let us not forget that these thieves lavished contributions on Congress to members of both parties.

    have a peaceful day,
    Bill

    “sad and lonely”

I thought the Beatles copyrighted that phrase.

Later it was sold to Michael Jackson as part of an “odd lot.”

This old glory guy puts the big in bigot. He’s the cyst in racist. Why do you pimp his hating, Heraldo?

  13. September 21, 2008 at 11:23 pm

So you think it’s real, not satire?

I think it’s something like satire, thought up by a caffeine addict who hasn’t had any coffee for 36 hours. Slightly off his game.

Yes, I think it’s real. The Links on his website include Move America Forward, Pajamas Media and Free Republic. He has several videos on his site that are not well done, but use racist stereotypes in his attempts at humor. He’s a hater with the means to own a multimedia computer.

This is the guy that went off on a store in the mall for displaying outside its doors an adult-themed T-shirt he claimed was marketing to children. The NCJ blogthing had something on it.

How do we know he isn’t a left-winger cleverly pretending to be a crazy off-putting right-winger?

That kind of thing is happening all over the country.

Election years bring out the “Spy vs. Spy” in a lot of people.

I’d guess its a parody. He’s so deadpan, it seems like it could be sincere. But he did a later video saying its his last, and he’s going on a hunger strike. Seeing that sort of gives the satire away. But I really don’t know. If it really is a parody, its just too subtle to be effective.

A good lesson from this is just because you see a video of something doesn’t make it any more credible than the text of a blog or hearing a rumor. Without some objective and independent substantiation, its just data, not information.

Jerry Partain must be ill. I can’t believe he wouldn’t have been there.

    Get well, soon, Jerry.

It’s happening everywhere. Studies show it to be true!
