LaVallee fundraiser at Eureka Inn Saturday

[Campaign announcement]
Peter LaVallee, candidate for Mayor of Eureka, will hold a reception and fundraiser in the lobby of the newly re-opened Eureka Inn on Saturday, October 9 from 5 to 7 pm.

Local businesses are providing food, non-alcoholic beverages, and wine & beer. Veteran North Coast jazz pianist Darius Brotman will perform, and Peter will address his supporters at 6 pm. A suggested donation of $25 is requested.

Peter LaVallee’s dedication to the community has been shown by his service as Eureka’s Mayor from 2002 to 2006 when he promoted open dialogue among all city constituents to get things done. His work at the Redwood Community Action Agency has improved the lives of thousands of disadvantaged youth in Eureka.

Further info on the Oct. 9 reception and supporting Peter’s campaign can be found at peterlavallee.org.

Really nice turn out for Peter’s event at the Eureka Inn this evening. Piano by Darius Brotman added to the classy atmosphere. The crowd that packed the lobby for Peter’s event dwarfed the small gathering of Loren Hanks (Mike Thompson’s challenger) supporters at an event in the adjoining room. Peter’s supporters are very enthusiastic. His campaign has a great deal of momentum right now.

Peter should run the KEET debate over and over.
