Another national news show on marijuana debuts tonight

Cable network CNBC is offering up another special on Humboldt County’s famous plant with the release of Marijuana USA. The show premiers tonight at 10pm.

But the focus appears to be not on Humboldt County or the Emerald Triangle — the Northern California area sometimes considered the pot capital of the world — but on Denver, Colorado, where dispensaries outnumber Starbucks and liquor stores combined, according to reporter Trish Regan.

Regan was the reporter behind the CNBC special Marijuana, Inc.

CNBC is channel 18 on the local cable dial.

Trish Regan needs to smoke a joint and get her head out of her ass.

With her finger ever in the air to test which way the political winds are blowing, you can count on her to deliver…. whatever the spin she thinks mainstream America is most likely to lap up in regard to “the weed thingy.” Her reporting style is like a video version of People Magazine.

    Trish: get a clue, honey!

I liked the idea Portugal came up with, just opening it up and trying it out (the drug laws) so there are no restrictions. It seems to have worked.

That idea also worked just fine in the U.S. before the marijuana tax act of 1937.

Finally a national news story not telling the world that Humboldt county is a drug haven full of losers but actually mentioning another city.

Unintended consequences or are they intended?

“Teen Marijuana use rising after years of decline”

“The survey results show an end to almost a decade of declining rates of pot use.”

“With so much talk about the potential health benefits of pot, teenagers are increasingly complacent about the risks of marijuana, public health experts say.”
