Humboldt on HGTV
Local mosaic artist Laurel Skye on Home and Garden TV. The clip is a rare chance to see Humboldt on television minus the controversy.
See Laurel’s website.

So Cool!
I was concerned at first that Laurel was going to be presented as some sort of weird and wacky Humboldt person. HGTV did a nice job of portraying her as the talented and legitimate artist she is. Well done HGTV and congratulations Laurel.
Nice piece on a wonderful artist!
Did she do that traffic circle in Arcata up near 12th or 13th and say, J or so??
One day Ms. Skye kindly invited me as a stranger beyond her sidewalk and through her doors where I was witness to a majesty of beautiful and eccentric color, texture, and passion unlike anything seen before. It’s hard to believe and spectacular to behold on a grand scale. Warm, comfortable, inviting, personal. A very special home. You can’t help losing yourself into her vision and dream, and then, simply smiling like a child.
I was reminded that Laurel herself is that special and rare bird– a golden thread woven through our magnificent gilded tapestry, seeing and perceiving a wonderfully different world around us. Making the mundane, drab, and overlooked cherished and beautiful, an array of color, a briliant wonder, a welcoming rainbow piercing the cold and darkest of Humboldt days.

Yes she did. It’s at 12th and I Streets.
