Richardson Grove protest planned for Sacramento

Opponents of CalTrans’ plan to realign Highway 101 through Richardson Grove in Southern Humboldt County are taking the fight to the state capital.  Buses from Humboldt, Mendocino and the San Francisco Bay area will converge on Sacramento to deliver anti-project postcards and petitions to Governor Jerry Brown on June 22nd.

The protesters sure are having a hard time finding and sticking to a talking point that works.

    a name like “taxed”?!

Dear “taxed”, you should follow your own advice.

As to the protesters. If they want to spend their time and money to go to Sacramento for a protest so what? This is America and they can do it.

Organizers are relying on ignorance in Sacramento to prevail, eh? Ignorance reigns with those protesting this project.
Don’t let facts get in the way of your enviro-hissy fit, just follow this classic propagandists recipe:

Use an image that bears no likeness to the actual project site.
Throw out statistics and numbers that have no relationship to reality.
Stomp your feet and wave your propaganda posters.

Do the organizers promise those who jump on board the buses a “high time” all the way down to Sacramento?

So, now the choice is ‘Big Trees” or ‘Big Trucks”? Really?

If you want people to ‘rally’ to the cause, stop lying.

Maybe now we know where the E.P.I.C. pot was headed. Surely there was enough herb at Ms. Jamieson’s house to keep the protesters on the buses high AND sell in the Sacramento market.

If you cannot bullshit your own people with lies and exaggerations, how its gonna happen with Sacramento bureaucrats? Good luck with that.

The only thing better than bigger, is “MORE”, and we can’t have either without this project.

If you people want to help this economy and the war effort, you’d better start spending again!
