    I hope they get ’em.
It must be terrifying for the tellers.

He didn’t even wait in line. How rude!

Also, why bother recording if the resulting video is useless for identifying criminals? Time to upgrade to HD.

Also, also, let’s not overlook the obvious. Maybe the criminal has a communicable disease that sprouts pus-filled warts around his orifices and he’s just being nice by covering up his pestilent, ugly face.

The still photo doesn’t do it justice. You have to see the video. Watch the reaction of the lady that’s at the window when the robber walks up. Priceless. My guess is he’s that parolee dude they’re looking for. Gotta have cash when you’re on the lam.

Why is it that when Citizens are robbed or suffer property damage the “police” barely respond. Rob a federal reserve bank and they have choppers in the air, tanks blocking roads, snipers on rooftops, and nuclear weapons fueled and the doors open on the silo.
It’s hard not to notice that law enforcement’s main job is to defend the federal reserve and not Citizens.

So I guess those aren’t real Sheriff’s deputies who have been out to our neighborhood repeatedly to aid a neighbor whose wife has dementia, gets out of the house and wanders around. But you go ahead and believe whatever you want to.

Maybe the Times Standard will give him a front page interview bragging about how the robbery spree “was fun while it lasted” as said by Ezra Williams, the punk that’s terrorized numerous eureka businesses on his robbing spree.

Everyone at that rag should be fired

I think the old lady is behind the whole thing

Too bad the teller can’t push a button that records the voice of the robber. Let his voice be heard on the TV.

I like the Times Standard just fine and will continue my subscription as long as they offer it.

I agree with Anon 9:25 and feel that there are those that wouldn’t be satisfied with anything and just want to complain.

More information by Donna Tam in her Times-Standard article today, Masked Bank Robber Hits Valley West Bank—Suspect May be linked to Several North Coast Robberies:

The bank robber who robbed an Arcata Coast Central Credit Union on Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. may be related to several North Coast robberies. Witnesses told officers that a man entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money. The teller complied, and the man fled the business… The amount stolen is not being disclosed… no one was injured during the robbery. The bank reopened for business by noon.

The suspect — described as a white male adult in his 30s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, medium build, with short brown hair — was last seen running southwest through the alley toward the Ray’s Food Place parking lot. He was wearing black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and a San Francisco Giants baseball cap. No weapon was displayed or implied.

A surveillance video shows the man walking through the bank’s door, going straight to a teller’s window and then walking around a woman in the middle of a transaction to speak to the teller. The woman gathers up her bank slips and her purse and moves aside as the man leans over the counter and puts his hand out for the money.

The man was wearing a surgical or dust mask, similar to the one worn in a McKinleyville Coast Central Credit Union robbery last month. In the McKinleyville case, a gun was used. The suspect’s description is similar to the man wanted in several other robberies in Northern California and Southern Oregon, including a Bank of America robbery in Yreka on Monday. …According to the Mount Shasta Herald, that suspect brandished a black pistol.

Arcata Police Chief Tom Chapman said his department has been in contact with the FBI but could not confirm if the cases are related.

”We can’t make that connection yet,” he said. ”Certainly, it looks like it’s headed in that direction, but I can’t say for sure at this point.” APD is asking anyone who may have seen the suspect in the Valley West area before or after the time of the robbery to call 822-2424.”

More activity this afternoon on Giuntoli. Many police converged with guns drawn by Northern Redwood Federal Credit Union, across the street from yesterday’s robbery. Thought I smelled gunsmoke. I don’t know if it is related.

Ok 69er pull your head up or shut your mouth for a minute, either way since you want to cheerlead for the shit rag T.

please tell me what business they had trying to glorify an armed robber(Ezra Williams) by giving him an “EXCLUSIVE JAILHOUSE INTERVIEW” as the big headline in bold color stated?

You think people just want something to complain about with the TS, you must work there,EVERYONE knows it is a joke of a paper, notice I left out the news part, since more often than not so do they

I also find it ironic as pointed out on another blog how the TS editor rips the USPS for wanting to close rural post offices, while they decide to stop rural TS delivery themselves.

How about the Sunday paper they charge an extra dollar for. Why the ads?that advertisers are already paying the TS to run?

Well if so the Monday paper should be free because its usually bare minimum.
The TS is 85% AP stories as is

SmokeMonster, you are exactly the type I was referring to, bitch, bitch, bitch, complain, complain, complain, never a good word about anything. there are ways to take care of that kind of attitude, just end it all and we would all be better off.

Agreed, this is classic video. She picked up her own cash, slowly put it away in her purse, then stood there like she was waiting for her receipt, all the while the robbery is happening within her personal space, she’s actually rubbing elbows with the robber. Then, finally, she slowly wanders off. Yes, priceless indeed.
