[NOT] TONIGHT: Marina Center show at the Red Lion

UPDATE: This event is not happening.  KHUM somehow ran the ghost of a prior ad over the air Tuesday morning. Sorry to get your hopes up, Brady Bunchers.

Rob Arkley and his Security National corp. will present “top scientists” to talk about the state of the Balloon Tract and his planned big box mall tonight starting at 6pm at the Eureka Red Lion.

The event will answer all your concerns according to an ad on KHUM.

Press Release (5+/- years into the future) After outgrowing it´s cuurent locattion, WalMart is proud to announce we will be relocating to a larger facility on the Bay and we are proud that we will be creating more jobs (blah blah blah)

And by “top” we mean “well-compensated.”

Why is this show not being promoted on the front page of the Marina Center’s website? Hmmm.

What Rob is trying to say is that “top scientists” (paid for by SNSC) will argue that his project is “green”, although it’s still not consistent with the Coastal Act. Rather than comply, he’ll begin another PR campaign to discredit the CCC.

This post is not accurate. There is no Marina Center meeting. The Red Lion has no events scheduled for this evening.

I didn’t quite understand why a non-legally-mandated public meeting presumably organized to gain public support would be held during spring break while a lot of people are out-of-town on vacation.

We’re still investigating this, but it appears that some antique bit of audio accidentally went over the air. Apologies.

This event is not happening tonight. Presumably it happened at some point in the past.

    Thanks for the clarification, Hank.

I’m just pleased knowing that there’s a journalist somewhere investigating something.

I think this happened about 7 years ago and it was a joke.

Looking at the KHUM website, there is no advertisement. Calling KHUM, they don’t know where this originated from. They’re sorting through their Public Service Announcements now after receiving calls from others.

The Red Lion and the Security National Company know nothing of this. Security National specifically denied any such event when asked– it’s a mystery to them how this began, they say. KIEM-news heard about it, too, but they have no information.

Misinformation, a hoax, conspiracy, or a leak sprung by an inner mole? No one knows. Let your imagination run wild. However, Bigfoot was sighted. Officials deny its existence. News at 6. Puppies, too.

KHUM aired the ad right around 10am.

Let’s build. Let’s poor cement. Let’s make a cavern. There ought to be a rule that you have to tear down at least one vacant building for every building you build new. Another new rule: People, by people I mean everybody, should get to use what you build. All this crap about people not having the right to lay down their head has got to cease

Yeah. And if you plant any crops, everyone should get the right to eat them.

And if you knit any clothes, everyone should get the right to wear them.

And by everyone, I mean everyone. It’s a great plan. travcat, which are you going to do first? Are you going to build a house for me to live in, plant crops for me to eat, or knit a sweater for me to wear. If it’s the sweater, I really like sky blue. Thanks.

Since corporations are persons, and “everyone” includes all persons, what size sweater does Exxon wear?

    I don’t know, but I’ll bet it’s 100% polyester.

Awfully lonely here at the Red Lion tonight, even in the bar. I didn’t get no respect.

Ask the bartender for a KHUMer, served up today, aged gently for seven years.
