Stumping for Brooks

With the wacky color scheme, fonts and flowers dotting her campaign signs, it seems 3rd District Humboldt County Supervisor candidate Karen Brooks is telling voters she’s a hippie.

But Brooks is Tea Party and her supporters clearly hate trees.

Brooks is running against incumbent Mark Lovelace, whose work to protect and expand the Sunny Brae Forest won him support four years ago.

Looks like the Brooks Bunch prefer stumps.

    Tea-Party=”Jews-for-Hitler.”
People who identify as Tea-party and depend on the national media (it’s all Fox, Silly!) for their opinions, can be compared to Jewish people supporting Hitler. Tea-Partiers with incomes less than 1million a year, will fare no better from supporting the aristocrat-party, the elite-party, the party-of-the-wealthy; than the rest of us.
People have to start reacting to the money and not to the rhetoric. Even Hitler said all the right things. You can compare his speeches to any politician’s speech and they all agree: “A chicken in every pot!” “Jobs, Jobs, jobs!” “We’re the greatest!”
So let’s wise-up. Local politicians are playing the same game as national politicians. If you’re sick of it, support complete public financing of elections. Force the ‘Born-Wealthy’ out of politics. Level the field. Greatest idea of the new-millennium, that’ll never see the light of day as long as the uber-rich control the Government, and milk it like it’s their own personal cow.
“Sorry, no money for your kid’s schools, but plenty of money for bail-outs and corporate welfare…don’t worry though, we have prisons for your children, Don’t forget to vote!”

Since piggy-backing on the TV show “The Brady Bunch” worked so well, why not call her “Our Miss Brooks”? That’ll pull in TV watchers from the 1952-56 era, and the hippy graphics will pull in the 60s crowd. See, politics CAN be meaningful!

You are right MD, Lovelace has been in office too long. Lovelace would like to be the next Chesbro, but he cant quite pull it off. Time to go. Brooks can give us a correct management of our county. No more social experiments in the forest. She will stand up to the elites in Sacramento.

This type of childish, over-the-top rhetoric should embarrass all you lefties posting here.

The fact that it doesn’t tells us a lot about you.

But we all know more then we care to about you HF. If you’d be clear that you support Brooks, then we’d need no more information to know that we don’t.
Thanks for making it so easy for us.

Heraldo, do you think you could publish FACTS and if you share your OPINION you could label it as YOUR OPINION?

NEWS FLASH!!!!! Blogs are all about opinions, the bloggers and the commenters. You want labels turn on Faux News, they got an abundance of them over there.

New figures released by the 2010 census show 1 in 2 Americans at risk of becoming impoverished. It made headlines on Democracy Now and is featured in a new book titled “The Rich And The Rest Of Us” .

Best not to tell “High Finance” who is already highly challenged trying to blame America’s 48 million victims for living in chronic poverty…as if 30 years of divestment in America by our largest corporations, financial institutions and our own government,
    aren’t directly to blame.

Apparently blogs are about saying any silly thing you want and expecting other people to believe your shhhhhh, oh you know. Opinions are like assholes = everyone has one and the others all stink.

There are 313 million people living in the United States so there are 265 million that are not victims. That aint too bad.

  17. April 23, 2012 at 5:05 am

Oh, I get it now. Let the rich loot the treasury and you’re not a victim. Stand up for the rights of “ALL” Americans; and you’re a “Victim.” Ok, got it.

In what world is Heraldo neither a male or female name and intelligence can be measured by blog posts? Jerry’s “links” are hilarious and indicative of his own lack of intelligence.

As any astute reader would know, tra and I agree on everything.

    Jerry,

If you go back and read some of the older posts and comment threads on this blog, for example some of the posts dealing with the General Plan Update, you will soon realize just how far off the mark you are with your claim that Heraldo and I are the same person.

While Heraldo and I tend to agree on lots of stuff, we do disagree from time to time, sometimes strongly. If we agreed on everything, I probably wouldn’t bother reading this blog.

Movie Dad: so you believe that an individual who is born wealthy should be forced out of politics. That’s quite an interesting concept. How about a person who worked hard and became wealthy as a result? Should they too be forbidden to participate in our democracy? Or is the Constitution only for the poor and middle class?
