LOS ANGELES — Thousands of previously unpublished Boy Scouts of America files that detail suspected sexual abuse by employees and volunteers have been posted online.

The Los Angeles Times ( http://lat.ms/TiA546 ) published the database containing redacted victims’ names on Tuesday, including material that was released earlier by an Oregon Supreme Court judge’s ruling. The names of the alleged abusers – including doctors, teachers, priests – are included.

There was also the case on Humboldt Hill a few years ago of a boy scout leader molesting his neighbor boys who were in his pack.

And before that was the Mormon boy scout leader in McKinleyville trying to pick up little boys at the Arcata pool.

It wasn’t about his religion, just an additional identifier of the individual. There are lots of people who belong to religions which forbid the practice of their fetish or sexuality and they are more likely to express it in secret and often illegal ways than someone who can be open about it without worry of being ostracized by their community.

Considering Michael Jackson…or the Spartans…we tend to look the other way when the offense involves money, empire, civic leaders or beautiful women.

We close our eyes entirely when the (mostly) female children of weaker nations live short, abused lives filling U.S. shelves with Christmas cheer.

    And the Girl Scouts?

What about Girl Scouts Psycho? They have a strong record of being inclusive. I can’t recall a single case of a GS leader being arrested, much less convicted, of child molestation.

Scout Chief Sentenced To 28 Years For Abuse — Seven Girls And Boy Raped Or Molested
    By Richard Seven

A Rainier Valley man who used his position as a Girl Scout leader to rape or molest seven young girls and a boy has been sentenced to 28 years in prison.

King County Superior Court Judge Warren Chan yesterday meted the exceptional sentence – twice the top of the standard range – after concluding John Babcock not only used his position of trust as a scout leader but also manipulated his own children to recruit and influence his victims.

Your first link is about a male GS leader and the 2nd doesn’t list a sex for the perp. I should have said I don’t recall a female GS leader ever being convicted of molestation. Female sexual predators are rare.
