The Marina Center is Dead

DOAA new local blog, the Tuluwat Examiner, reveals that Eureka loudmouth Rob Arkley has redirected his website marinacenter.org — which once featured fancy still and animated renderings of a Home Depot-based mall — to his generic Security National www address.

The Examiner has a timeline of key events in the Marina Center saga which despite all the money, threats, fake-o ballot measures and puppet politicians has lead exactly nowhere while Arkley himself continues to stonewall the Coastal Commission on his much fought-over project. And, of course, the Balloon Track site remains a toxic, leaky mess polluting Humboldt Bay.

Scroll back through the Herald’s extensive coverage of the Marina Center sideshow.  Or better yet, click over to the Tuluwat Examiner to keep up with current local events.

Looks like the Tulutwat Examiner is the reincarnation of the Herald, railing against ” the MAN” while giving a convicted child molester a pass. Pitiful…..

    Who’s the convicted child molester?

Hey Just Watchin! See my name over there in Humboldt Blogs? I’ve been waiting for years of Heraldo to list it. Another hypocrite that actively practices and preaches discrimination and blogger bigotry. The new blog does seem to go after the EPD and the new police chief. Must be a neophyte though. You’d go blind trying to read that blog.

Just Watchin, here’s another observation. These people, jon, Mitch, Ernie B and others rail against the “Anonymous Blogger and commenter ad infinitum. Now we get another “Anonymous Blog” and look at the support right from the very first post. Talk about a pack of hypocrites!

JW and JB. It’s like old times. How the heck are you. Glad to see you all remember me from those good old days at SP. Those were the days, amiright?

JB – If someone is going to post anonymously over time with a consistent avatar or ID, I’m OK with it. I mean I have to be, I’m doing it myself. It’s the one-off and the total anons that will drive a “libturd” crazy. Why, because there is no accountability.

Carry on with the hate – catch y’all later.

jon, what am I supposed to hate, besides liars, murderers and criminals of sort? I wouldn’t waste my time and energy on scum like you.

  10. February 21, 2014 at 9:12 pm

    scum like you

And Joe Blow wonders why his rather pathetic goal of having his blog listed on the Humboldt Herald hasn’t materialized.

Maybe Home Depot choked on a $12 minimum wage and decided that Eureka wasn’t such a good idea for bottom feeding retailers.

a water taxi to SF would have been good for the area, just sayin’….

Sure, great for those days when the bar is safe to cross and ocean conditions permit. Wouldn’t want to count on it for transportation.

Yes, please do. Your commentary is sorely missed.

Seattle has a water taxi that goes to Victoria, BC crossing the Straight Of Juan De Fuca- much heavier seas than around here. The anti marina center further isolated the area, driven away business, and left the area looking like a burned out town from Mad Maxx, complete with tweakers and pot growers killing each other over the last few dollars left in town.

Thanks To All For Creating This Nightmare!

For all those Arkley haters, the big question is why? So you would rather the Balloon Tract stay like it is….decayed for 30+ years now, illegal dumping, eye sore, and contaminated. We had someone who was going to clean it up and had backing from retailers to do it. Now it remains the same, no new jobs, no clean up of contamination, and still more homeless coming. Remember, Arkley was not responsible for the contamination but was working with Water Board to get contamination removed. Now, we have homeless camping all around the sloughs and waterways of Eureka contaminating the water with trash, illegal dumping, and human waste. Where are the environmental groups now in going after this highly illegal activity and directly damaging our natural environment that we all like to enjoy (Bay Trail, Hikshari Trail, etc.). No money in going after these groups so the environmental groups such as Humboldt “Money”Keepers, EPIC, and North Coast Environmental Center are not interested.
This County has got a 180 degree different view of what needs to happen compared to what is happening.

    Wake UP!!

Why doesn’t the city just eminent domain the Balloon Track?
